Does your heart sink at the thought of airway sampling? Do chills run down your back when you hear ‘possible airway foreign body’? This hands-on dry laboratory is designed to maximize the ER clinician’s success in performing airway navigation, sampling, and foreign body retrieval. Bronchoscope handling skills, standardized lower airway navigation, and foreign body retrieval techniques all will be reviewed and practiced to achieve competence. Troubleshooting equipment and oxygenation challenges will also be covered. There will be several instructors, and each will offer what has worked best for them.
